Partitioning of chloroaromatic compounds between the aqueous phase and dissolved and particulate soil organic matter at chlorophenol contaminated sites
2007, Environmental PollutionCitation Excerpt :Experimental sorption data for CPs are reported from several studies (Frankki and Skyllberg, 2006). For PCPPs and PCDEs, there are no experimental data reported and only a few experimental log KOC values have been reported for PCDD/Fs in soils and sediments (Broman et al., 1991; Lodge and Cook, 1989; Muir et al., 1992; Puri et al., 1989; Walters and Guiseppielle, 1988) and in DOM (Kim and Osako, 2004; Lodge and Cook, 1989; Tanaka et al., 2005; Webster et al., 1986; Yabuta et al., 2004). There are few previous studies in which log KDOC and log KPOC for organic chemicals have been determined in the same “DOM–POM system” of a soil.
