Abstract

In a search for the existence of the intermediate boson predicted by Tanikawa and Watanabe, we used as a νμ source the atmospheric neutrino component. The experiment consisted of the measurement of the possible flux Nμ of muons upwards through a telescope of scintillators placed underground at a depth of 4100 m water equivalent. The experimental results is Nμ = 0 in 7.7×106 sec and suggests a mass of the intermediate boson MB > 3500 me.
