2022, Materials Today: ProceedingsCitation Excerpt :The replacement values of 10 to 20% gave a reduction in strength when compared to control samples. This can be attributed to the fact that SSA has a moderate pozzolanic activity and the dilution effect of cement [39,40]. The flexural strength of 10% addition of SSA had an increase in the strength of the order 8.05% when compared to 20% SSA for 7 days, similarly, there was a 4.45% the increase in the strength for 10% of SSA incorporated mortar when compared to 20% SSA.
