2017, Journal of Business ResearchCitation Excerpt :The results of the studies presented in this paper raise interesting possibilities on the roles of visual language and self-presentation motives in service selection. This research has implications for advertising of services (George & Berry, 1981). By addressing other potential manipulations of power, such as respect, knowledge, resources, or control (French & Raven, 1959), further research could evaluate how impression management may vary across different antecedents.
