Abstract

Data for intensive daytime toilet training programmers carried out with 13 retarded trainees were retrospectively analyzed. Evidence is presented for chronological age and social age as factors affecting progress on such programs. Children below age 20 are trained significantly faster than adults over the age of 25; and children with social ages of 2 to 2.5 yr progress significantly faster than children with social ages between 1.5 and 2 yr.
