Abstract

The scattering amplitude for a recently discovered exactly solvable shape invariant potential, which is isospectral to the generalized Pöschl–Teller potential, is calculated explicitly by considering the asymptotic behavior of the X1 Jacobi exceptional polynomials associated with this system.

Highlights

► Scattering states of a newly obtained shape invariant potential (SIP) are obtained. ► The scattering amplitude of the newly obtained SIP is derived for the first time. ► The scattering amplitude is shown to be different from that of its isospectral partner potential.
