Investigation of the effect of Bioglass-58S content on structural and biological properties of PCL-chitosan-58S-bioactive glass composite coating for bone tissue engineering application
2023, Ceramics InternationalCitation Excerpt :Cell viability percentage = control specimen's OD/test specimen's OD × 100. The amount of p-nitrophenol obtained by p-nitrophenyl phosphate can be measured to evaluate the ALP activity, and this process was done by the Elgendy procedure [43]. Based on this method, the cells (density: 1 × 104 cm−2) were cultured with PCB's that were synthesized at a temperature of 37 °C.

2021, Journal of Non-Crystalline SolidsPreparation, characterization and in vitro biological response of simultaneous co-substitution of Zr+4/Sr+2 58S bioactive glass powder
2021, Ceramics InternationalCitation Excerpt :The investigations about ALP activity of MC3T3 cells have been introduced as an approach, in which the amount of the produced p-nitrophenol from p-nitrophenyl phosphate is measured [48]. This was obtained after culturing the cells with a density of 1 × 104 cells.cm−2, ZS-BGs, and culture media altogether under a humidified atmosphere (37 °C) [48]. The next stages were (i) removing supernatant fluid (by pipette), (ii) rinsing the cells (by phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solution), and (iii) adding 1 ml of Tris buffer, respectively.
Comprehensive in vitro studies of novel sol gel-derived Zr4+/Zn2+ co-substituted bioactive glass with enhanced biological properties for bone healing
2021, Journal of Non-Crystalline SolidsCitation Excerpt :Then aliquots of 20 μL were prepared from 1ml of a p-nitrophenyl phosphate disodium salt solution (pNPP, Sigma-Aldrich Company, USA, 16 mmol/L) were added. After the incubation of the plate for 5 min (30 oC), the produced p-nitrophenol from p-nitrophenyl phosphate was measured [59]. The resistivity of MRSA bacteria, the main type of bacterial strain which leads Staphylococcus aureus infection, which involves the synthesized BGs was investigated.
