2016, Synthetic MetalsCitation Excerpt :In fact, the electrical and dielectrical properties of hybrid compounds have been well documented [5,6]. Hybrids based mercury have been synthesized and characterized with simple, different techniques, thanks to their self-assembling character [7] and are very interesting both for fundamental physics exploration (electronic confinement [8], low dimensional magnetic system [9], etc.) and diversify the technological applications field. Most mercury complexes exhibit geometries tetrahedral [10], because of the closed angles and relatively large coordination distances of Hg.
