Spiders contribute to biological control through predation in various agroecosystems (Samiayyan, 2014), and Pardosa (Lycosa) pseudoannulata Boesenberg and Strand (Lycosidae) is one of the most important predators of hoppers in paddy fields (Yang et al., 2018). A field assessment revealed that green rice leafhopper, Nephotettix cincticeps Uhler, and brown planthopper, Nilaparvata lugens Stål constitute about 80% of the diet of P. pseudoannulata (Kiritani and Kakiya, 1975).
