Genetic, genomic and biochemical insights of celery (Apium graveolens L.) in the era of molecular breeding
2022, Journal of Applied Research on Medicinal and Aromatic PlantsCitation Excerpt :Butanol and aqueous extracts were given to genetically hypercholesterolaemia rats to elucidate the mechanism of extract effect on hypercholesterolaemia (Tsi and Tan, 2000). Celery showed anti-inflammatory activity in rats indicated by estimating carrageenan induced paw edema suppression (Al-Hindawi et al., 1989). Celery has been reported to exhibit anti-inflammatory health benefits as it has role in protection against inflammation in the digestive tract.
