Zusammenfassung

Skabies ist eine ansteckende Hauterkrankung, die durch die Krätzemilbe verursacht wird. Es ergeben sich verschiedene wichtige Aspekte im beruflichen Kontext, insbesondere für Beschäftigte im Gesundheitswesen. Diese Arbeit gibt eine kurze Übersicht über den aktuellen Stand der Wissenschaft hinsichtlich Epidemiologie, Pathologie, Diagnostik und Therapie.

Abstract

Scabies is a contagious skin infestation caused by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei. There are various aspects of major occupational importance, particularly for employees in the healthcare system. This article gives a brief review of the current scientific knowledge about the epidemiology, pathology, diagnostics, therapy and prevention.
