Samenvatting

Wanneer een kind ziek wordt en in een ziekenhuis moet worden opgenomen, kan een ouder geconfronteerd worden met heftige emoties als angst, machteloosheid en verdriet. Het is een natuurlijke reactie van een ouder om zijn kind fysiek vast te houden en zorg te bieden. Echter, als er voor het zieke kind hulp van professionals nodig is, kan het voorkomen dat de ouders denken dat zij de zorg voor hun kind geheel of gedeeltelijk uit handen moeten geven.
