Abstract
Gallstone ileus is a rare disease, and it accounts for 1–4% of all cases of mechanical intestinal obstruction. Incidence is more in elderly with a female predominance and may result in a high mortality rate. The diagnosis of gallstone ileus is difficult, and early diagnosis could reduce the mortality. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment. Here, we are reporting a case of 65-year-old lady presented as intestinal obstruction and later diagnosed to have cholecystoduodenal fistula causing gallstone ileus.
