Abstract

Hyperparathyroidism jaw tumor syndrome is a rare syndrome with features of primary hyperparathyroidism, ossifying fibromas of the jaw, and parathyroid carcinoma. Certain features of hyperparathyroidism jaw tumor syndrome may suggest an underlying parathyroid carcinoma as illustrated in the case reported here. High index of suspicion for parathyroid carcinoma will require radical surgery in the first attempt and avoid re-do surgery.
