At the beginning of the Discussion section is a sentence that says: "In a nationally representative sample of patients undergoing common bariatric surgeries, we found that cannabis use disorder did not predispose medical complications or in-hospital mortality, though patients with CUD had longer lengths of stay." This sentence is inaccurate. It should say:
"In a nationally representative sample of patients undergoing common bariatric surgeries, we found that cannabis use disorder predisposed medical complications and length of stay, but not in-hospital mortality."
Additionally, this sentence in the conclusions is inaccurate. "In a nationally representative sample of patients undergoing bariatric surgery, cannabis use disorder was associated with worsened outcomes, including higher risk for complications, death, and extended length of stay."
This sentence should say:
"In a nationally representative sample of patients undergoing bariatric surgery, cannabis use disorder was associated with worsened outcomes, including higher risk for complications and extended length of stay."
