Zusammenfassung

Die posttraumatische Belastungsstörung ist eine vergleichsweise junge Diagnose, deren exakte definitorische Abgrenzung sich derzeit in der Überarbeitung befindet. In diesem Artikel werden Veränderungen in den internationalen Klassifikationssystemen sowie aktuelle psychopharmakologische und psychotherapeutische Behandlungsmöglichkeiten beschrieben. Im Anschluss erfolgt ein Ausblick auf aktuelle Entwicklungen und offene Forschungsfragen.
