Abstract

In this paper, analysis of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been presented in the presence of an interfering UAV. Considering the availability of line-of-sight (LoS) or non-line-of-sight (NLoS) link between the ground user and the intended as well as interfering UAV, four different cases have been considered. For each scenario, closed form expression has been developed for the outage probability of the system. The fading on the LoS link has been assumed to follow Nakagami-\(m\) model whereas the NLoS link undergoes Rayleigh distributed slow fading. From the numerical evaluation of the derived expressions, it has been established that the deteriorating effect due to nearby operation of the interfering UAV can be reduced through LoS link of the intended UAV. However, the system suffers in performance when there is LoS between the user and the interfering UAV while the intended UAV is connected through an NLoS link.
