Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

An algorithm is presented for solution of the problem of the statics of a granular medium with regard to plotting of the perimeter of an equally stable slope with an overhanging arch. Characteristics of the solution in question with disappearing fracture lines are ascertained. Nomograms and formulas are compiled for plotting of the perimeter.
