  1. “Any classification is superior to chaos; and even a classification based on the level of sensitive properties is a step toward a rational order.”

  2. Newton used, in the Principia, the term vis insita to describe a sort of “inherent force” in the bodies, the internal force of a moving body.

  3. Lakatos made no explicit reference to the sociology of science. The acronym HPS does not incorporate this term as well. We believe it is more appropriate to use HPSS.

  4. Although the term “iberoamericana” refers to Latin America plus Portugal, Spain and Andorra, it is written in the text that they surveyed only Latin American periodicals, as it is described in the title in English.
