Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal Aims and scope

Chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of thermosensitive liposomes loaded with doxorubicin were developed. Lipids and doxorubicin in thermosensitive liposomes were separated by TLC using the two solvent systems CHCl3:MeOH:NH4OH (conc.) (65:25:4) and CHCl3:MeOH:HOAc (glacial):H2O (25:15:4:2). Chromatographic determination of sucrose in thermosensitive liposomes was performed using the solvent systems 1,2-dichloroethane:HOAc (anhydrous): MeOH:H2O (10:5:3:2) or i-PrOH:Me2CO:Et2O:H2O (7:7:2:4). The spectrophotometric assay for doxorubicin in thermosensitive liposomes was validated.
