Abstract

In the present study, Nano-sized magnesium aluminate powders were successfully synthesized via microwave process based on the reaction between Mg (NO3)2·6H2O and Al (NO3)3·9H2O in distilled water, at various conditions. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and EDAX analysis. The effects of different parameters such as reaction time and microwave power on the morphology, particle size, and PL properties of the product were studied by SEM images and the PL.
