White-light emission from AlN dendrites

  • Published:

Abstract

The AlN dendrites were prepared by high temperature plasma nitridation method. The AlN dendrites are composed of hierarchical AlN polycrystal architectures with a wide size range. The photoluminescence spectra of the AlN dendrites exhibit white-light emission including three main bands located at red, green and blue-violet. The multi-colors emission is dependent on the morphology and size diversities of the AlN dendrites. The mechanism of defect luminescent is investigated.
