Abstract
This study aims to assess the impacts of tourism activities on the nourishment of the environment quality within Ayubia national park, Pakistan. Primary and secondary data were collected from the selected areas using Crowcon Gasman meter and a Garman GPS map 60CSX device, evaluation of the solid wastes generated from commercial business and private residents. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between the amount of waste generated and ambient air quality within the park area with CO2 (r = 0.983; p < 0.05) and NO2 (r = 0.983; p < 0.05). The outcome shows that there is significant difference in the amount of waste generated in commercial and residential areas with a t-value of (3.162 at 0.05). Results show that there were a significant difference in the amount of waste generated from the park across the months with a z-value of (22.916 at 0.05). Based on these findings, the study recommends that the management of the park should organize a periodic cleaning activity and involve the residents and commercial business operator within the park.
