Secondary Metabolites from the Fermented Whole Broth of Fungal Strain Sanghuangporus sanghuang

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Two new ionone-type sesquiterpenoids, sanghuanglin (1) and (+)-(2E,4E)-5-((S)-2,2-dimethyl-6-methylenecyclohexyl)-3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoic acid (2), were isolated from the whole broth of Sanghuangporus sanghuang BCRC 38847. Their chemical structures, including absolute configuration, were determined based on various spectroscopic methods, such as HR-ESI-MS, 1D NMR (1H, 13C, DEPT), 2D NMR (gCOSY, gHSQC, gHMBC, NOESY), and by measuring the specific rotations of new isolates and comparing them with the literature reference values.
