Abstract

In this paper, Pd–4,6-diamino-2-pyrimidinethiol complex supported on SBA-15 as a novel heterogeneous catalyst with high activity for the reaction of aryl halides with phenylboronic acid or triphenyltin chloride have been well explored. The prepared catalyst has been characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, N2 adsorption/desorption isotherms (BET), transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and inductively coupled plasma analysis. The synthesized nanocatalyst could be easily recovered from the reaction mixture and reused five times without any loss in activity.
