The characteristic parameters for evaluating the efficiency of working surfaces of sliding friction units and calculating their operating conditions are the speed of movement of the mated surfaces relative to each other and the loads on them. To determine them by analytical methods, kinematic and force studies of the crank mechanism of the driving system were carried out with reference to a chosen typical representative of this group of pumps. The proposed method can be used to obtain initial approximate data that are adequate for further structural analysis and designing of these friction units.
