  1. Editor’s note: In fact, the reason is clear. Because the Board of Trustees rejected, without explanation, the proposed revisions to the DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria for Pedophilia in DSM-5, the DSM-5 simply reproduced the criteria set for Pedophilia as described in DSM-IV-TR (see Balon, 2014).
