Synthesis of new spiro-oxindolo-(pyrrolizidines/pyrrolidines) via cycloaddition reactions of azomethine ylides and dibenzylideneacetone

Abstract

A comparative study of the synthesis of novel spiro-oxindolo(pyrrolizidine/pyrrolidine) ring systems by the cycloaddition reaction of azomethine ylides generated by a decarboxylative route from sarcosine/proline and isatin with dibenzylideneacetone using various conditions is described.
