PCR = Post Consumer Recycling, also Scherben, welche aus aufbereitetem Material aus der Altglassammlung stammen (In Österreich wurden im Jahr 2017 ca. 91 % Recyclingquote erreicht); PIR = Post Industrial Recycling dagegen bezeichnet Scherben, welche aus industriellen Quellen (z. B. Ausschüsse) stammen.
