Abstract.

The term lamellar ichthyosis (LI) refers to a rare inherited skin disorder, which is present from birth. It is transmitted in an autosomal recessive pattern, and characterized by large skin scales that cover the entire body. Several eyelid abnormalities accompany this condition.
