Andrew Witt’s Formulations, a new book in the “Writing Architecture” series (Witt, A. Formulations, MIT Press, Cambridge, 2021) focuses on a colourful view of the cabinets, machines, manuals and figures that play a role in the core ideas and ideals that created the architecture of the mid-nineteenth century.
