Abstract
Business trends are leading companies to work collaboratively both internally and externally. Data exchange technology has been driven by this trend, and the growth of World Wide Web technology and usage, supported by HPCN capabilities, is opening further possibilities for organisations to carry out product design and optimisation cooperatively. The FRONTIER project seeks to demonstrate the viability of collaborative design optimisation by putting into place a system whose architecture and technology addresses these needs.
