Abstract
Effect of magnetic field on curing a cross-linked polymer based on diglycidyl ester of terephthaloyl-bis (4-hydroxy benzoic acid) in liquid crystalline (LC) state was studied using NMR. The magnetic field was shown to inhibit anionic polymerization. In the course of spontaneous curing the order degree decreased to 0.5 whereas at anionic polymerization the complete disordering was attained. The ordering of the liquid crystalline polymer can be conserved in anionic polymerization if it is performed under controlled temperature conditions.
