Samenvatting

Verpleegkundigen gebruikten de bypassmodule te vaak om de geneesmiddelenbibliotheek niet te hoeven gebruiken en negeerden het alarm bij overschrijding van de door de computer geïndiceerde limieten. De onderzoeksresultaten zijn waarschijnlijk beïnvloed door de volgende factoren. Complexe, computergestuurde pompsystemen vereisten een intensievere training van verpleegkundigen. Door te weinig ervaring werd te vaak de bibliotheekfunctie omzeild en ook omdat alarmeringen van limietoverschrijdingen veel te vaak voorkwamen, werd deze functie niet meer serieus genomen.
