On the existence of similar solutions for a three dimensional flow problem

Abstract

Using a topological approach, the existence of similar solutions of a system of non-linear, third order, coupled ordinary differential equations which characterise the steady, three dimensional flow of an incompressible, viscous fluid due to a stretching flat surface is discussed.
