70Ge(α, γ)74Se cross section measurements at energies of astrophysical interest

  • Published:
Zeitschrift für Physik A Hadrons and Nuclei

Abstract

The cross section of the reaction70Ge(α, γ)74Se has been measured over the bombarding energy range of 5.05 MeV <E α < 7.80 MeV using single and coincidence gamma spectroscopy techniques. The experimental S-factor values are in agreement with theoretical statistical-model calculations. Reaction rates for the70Ge(α, γ)74Se and the inverse (γ, α) reactions have been determined for appropriate temperatures.
