On the continuation of partial-wave amplitudes to complexl

Summary

A formal definition of a continuation of partial-wave amplitudes from physicall values is given, and shown to be unique. The cases of potential scattering and of a relativisticS-matrix theory satisfying the Mandelstam representation are then considered in detail.
