Lester C. Thurow is Gordon Y. Billard Professor of Management and Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Previously, he was a member of the National Commission on Manpower Policy and the NAACP Economics Advisory Council. He is the author of many scholarly articles; has been a columnist for the New York Times, The Boston Globe,and the Los Angeles Times;and was a contributing editor for Newsweek.His books include The Zero-Sum Societyand Dangerous Currents: The State of Economics.
