Abstract
Charge and spin gaps in CeNiSn have been studied as a function of T and H by the tunneling effect and inelastic neutron scattering measurements. A field induced crossover from a insulating to a heavy fermion states has been clearly observed using the tunneling effect. The response of spin gap to magnetic field shows strong wave vector dependence.
