The velocity spectra in the stable atmospheric boundary layer

Abstract

A model for the logarithmic spectra of velocity in the stable boundary layer is developed using the concept of local scaling. The resulting expressions for peak wavelength are in agreement with empirical data from Minnesota 1973.
