Conclusions

The authors concluded that diet and exercise counseling for IGT results in some cutaneous reinnervation and improved painful symptoms. They also suggested that skin biopsy was a sensitive measure of neuropathy change over 1 year and that IENFD might be considered as an end point in future neuropathy trials.
