Abstract

Spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-V with variable equation of state (EOS) parameter and constant deceleration parameter is investigated in the presence of anisotropic dark energy in Brans-Dicke (Phys. Rev. 124:925, 1961) scalar-tensor theory of gravitation. The field equations of this theory have been solved by using the variation law for generalized Hubble’s parameter proposed by Bermann (Nuovo Cimento B 74:82, 1983). Some physical and kinematical properties of the model are also discussed.
