Guy Handfield is research officer at the newly formed Quebec Industrial Research Center, Quebec. He joined Quebec Iron and Titanium Corporation in 1967 and was involved in pyrometal-lurgical research activities. He received his PhD degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Montreal, and was associate professor at the Universite du Quebec.

Giles G. CharetteTMS is smelter superintendent at Quebec Iron and Titanium Corporation, Sorel, Quebec. He joined Quebec Iron and Titanium in 1967 and was supervisor-pyrometallurgy and mineral sciences group in the research department prior to his present position. He received his PhD degree in extractive metallurgy in 1967 from Toronto University.

Herbert Y. Lee is manager of research at Quebec Iron and Titanium Corporation, Sorel, Quebec. Since joining the company in 1952, he has held various positions in the research and development departments and was superintendent of the ore pretreatment plant and the iron and slag processing plant. He is a graduate of McGill University.
