Applied Scientific Research, Section A Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

Solutions of the generalised axi-symmetric potential equation are applied to certain problems of cavities and inclusions in an infinite region and to those of the semi-infinite region subjected to torsion. Some of these solutions, obtained in terms of conal functions, are expressed in terms of elementary functions to bring out their relation with other known forms.
