The analysis of the Herzberg system in the13C16O and partly in the12C16O molecules

  • Published:

Abstract

In the emission spectrum of the carbon monoxide isotopic molecules the Herzberg bands at a 0.6 Å/mm dispersion have been obtained. For the13C16O molecule all the seven bands of this system have been obtained and for the12C16O molecule the 0–2 and 0–3 bands only. A rotational analysis of these bands has been performed and the following constants were determined: the rotational constants of theC 1 Σ + andA 1II states, the band origins for theC 1 Σ +A 1 Π transition, and the new vibrational constants for theC 1 Σ + state.
