Samenvatting

In oktober 2000 werd in Keystone voor de derde keer een discussiebijeenkomst gehouden over de stand van zaken in de huisartsgeneeskunde in de VS. Huisartsgeneeskunde legt ook volgens onze Amerikaanse collega’s het accent op zorg voor en het gesprek met de patiënt in zijn context, ongezien diens leeftijd, geslacht of aandoening. Family Medicine wijdt een heel nummer aan deze bijeenkomst.1 Alle bijdragen zijn ook te vinden op www.aafppolicy.org.
