Energy-Ordered Spectra in continuum gamma decay studies. Analytical perspectives

  • Published:
Acta Physica Hungarica New Series Heavy Ion Physics

Abstract

Monte Carlo simulations of the continuum gamma decay after fusion-evaporation reactions show that Energy-Ordered Spectra can be adjusted to a mathematical function. By using such fits to experimental spectra it would be possible to extract physical parameters describing the nuclei at high intrinsic excitation energy and spin.
