A search on the parity-forbidden alpha width of theE x =4.753 MeV (J π,T=0+, 1) level of18F

Summary

Results on the parity-nonconserving alpha width Λ PNC α of the (J π,T=0+, 1)E x =4.753 MeV level of18F are reported. This level is tentatively fed by the14N(α, γ)18F reaction and the absence of de-excitation γ-ray allows us to set an upper limit of Λ PNC α ⩽1.2·10−5 eV.

Si riportano i risultati dell’ampiezza di alfa Λ PNC α che non conserva la parità del livello (J π,T=0+, 1)E x =4.753 MeV di18F. Si tenta di alimentare quel livello mediante la reazione14N(α, γ)18F e l’assenza di un raggio gamma di diseccitazione permette di fissare un limite superiore di Λ PNC α ⩽1.2·10−5 eV.
