Summary

Although there are considerable improvements in watersoluble contrast agents, there still exists a neurotoxical side effect. For need of little dye amounts but good visualisation of cervical subarachnoid space, we perform C1/2 lateral puncture. In our serie of 100 cases there were no major problems, neither from dye-side effects nor from puncture.
