Abstract

An experiment was made to identify the lymphoid cells by the use of indirect immunofluorescent staining with rabbit antiserum prepared against P3-J lymphoblastoid cells of Burkitt origin. Cultured lymphoblastoid cell line P3-J, Raji, RPMI #8226 and RPMI #4666 were stained positively with this antiserum. Nonlymphoid cell line RPMI #41 was negative for the staining. Lymphatic cells of stamped preparations from human lymph nodes were also positive for the staining. When human peripheral white cell smears were tested, only lymphocytic cells were positively stained.
